Reasons not to skip leg day.

As i mentioned in the previous post that is have been skipping leg day for the first 2 years of my training days and i truly regret it. I really wish you don't stumble on my mistakes and save your precious time getting faster results!

1-Your legs are 45% of your body muscle mass.

You can never go wrong with training legs. You are always wrong by not training half of your body muscles thinking it's a waste of time. In my long hours spent in the gym i heard strange phrases as 'i don't want to waste my protein intake on my leg muscles'. This is completely wrong. Training legs will help you lose weight if that is your goal by increasing your metabolism and it will help you build muscles by increasing your testosterone levels.

2-It increases your natural growth hormone and testosterone.

Working your legs doesn't only increase your caloric burn but it also forces your glands to produce  growth hormone. These hormones play vital roles in human cell reproduction of muscle tissue. Remember what we mentioned about 'more muscles=higher metabolism' ?

3-Working legs gives you abs.

Your ab muscles tie directly into your pelvic floor and also many of the muscles in your upper legs originate in the same area of your lower abdomen. So when you are training legs, your midsection gets tighter and tighter. Also training certain movements like squats will improve your core strength.

4-No one ever wants to look like this.

I pity anyone who works out for years getting a bigger upper body while skipping legs thinking that he walks a lot or runs for 30 mins daily and he doesn't have to train them.

5-Training your legs burns A LOT of calories.

Working these bigger muscles requires more energy during your workouts, which means your body will have to burn more calories. It also burns calories for hours after your workout.

6-You will notice the skyrocketing results.

After 2 or 3 leg day, you will start noticing the huge improvement which are really easy to notice unlike the other muscles because of their size. I know after the first day your legs will be so sore making it hard to perform daily tasks but this is only for the first one or two times.

7. You’ll reduce the risk of injury

Muscle imbalances, weak hamstrings, and a lack of mobility will lead to a number of issues such as low back pain injuries. Squats, lunges and deadlifts will help develop your hamstrings, build muscle around weak joints and help promote stability and mobility.
